Found this thing while digging up a chunk of garden. 
They look horrible, so I absolutely had to gross everyone out here, too.
Saying that, though, I think they grow into those really big, shiny brown beetles that crash into windows and sound like they're three foot wide.
So not all bad.
Mmm, squirmy.
Expect more wildlife photos soon, including a massive (15"?) slow-worm, and the same slow-worm fighting a rival.
Once again, I am very glad of my camera's 4cm macro...
